Days in Country Tracker
Log your trips once. See how many days you have spent in a country over the Schengen 90/180 window, a calendar year, an Australian tax year or a limit you choose, and how many days are left. Free, no sign-up, works offline.
Private by design. Your trips are stored only in this browser on this device. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and clearing your browser data deletes the log (use Export CSV to keep a copy).

3. The rules, exactly as this tool applies them
- A day: every calendar day from the entry date to the exit date, both included. Days are plain calendar dates; time zones and the hour you crossed the border are ignored. Overlapping trips never count a day twice.
- Schengen 90/180: for a given day, count the days in any Schengen country in the 180-day period that ends on, and includes, that day. A short stay is allowed while that count is at most 90. All Schengen countries are pooled (currently: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland). Stays under a residence permit or a long-stay (D-type) visa do not count towards the 90, so do not log them; Ireland and Cyprus are not in the Schengen area for this rule. Source: European Commission short-stay calculator.
- Planning: the stay length shown is the most consecutive days, starting on the date you pick, for which the 90/180 count never goes over 90 on any day of the stay (the same idea as the Commission calculator's Planning mode).
- Calendar year: days in the chosen country between 1 January and 31 December.
- Australian tax year: days in the chosen country between 1 July and the following 30 June, the period the Australian Taxation Office uses for individuals. This tool only counts days. It does not apply the ATO's residency tests (the 183-day test is one of several, and has exceptions), so check them on the ATO site.
- Custom rolling window: days in the chosen country in the last N days ending on the date above, against a limit you set. The limit is yours; this tool does not know what rule applies to your visa.
